Synopsis

It’s a coming-of-age story set in a fictional world where everyone has the ability to fly—except for one girl. Determined to overcome her limitation, she sets out to create a device that will allow her to take flight. However, her mother, a staunch traditionalist, disapproves of the idea, believing that relying on machines to replace a natural gift is unnatural. This ideological clash between the mother’s adherence to tradition and the daughter’s embrace of innovation drives the narrative, highlighting their generational and philosophical differences as the daughter strives to carve her own path.
Reflection

This was my bachelor’s graduation film, a solo project where I took on every aspect of production—from writing the script, storyboarding, and character development to creating concept art, style frames, the animatic, and animation. While I handled most of the work independently, I sought help in areas where I felt less confident. For example, I collaborated with friends on concept art to refine the color palette and received support for title design, sound design, and coloring some of the shots to make the workload more manageable.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t complete the film due to its ambitious scope and my lack of practicality regarding the final output. While I hope to revisit and finish it someday, I realize that revisiting the project would require significant time and effort, especially since I now see so many areas I’d like to improve or rework.
